Well of course they show a prop they bought in nowhere ville mid west for 10k and sold for 75k.. while i believe it was true .

Also the "West End" (nobody used to call it that but I think they do now), residential area east of 27th and south of State I imagine would be prime STR location too.Garden City is formerly the trashiest area of Boise, and very rapidly on its way to becoming one of the hippest.

Some examples include Kansas, Indiana, Ohio, Iowa, Oklahoma, Tennessee, West Virginia, etc.

I might be eating these words later, but as far as I can tell, at least here on the Oregon Coast and beyond the market crash everyone is waiting has not materialized. 

National Park is the most visited park in all of the US. likely due to the large east coast population, but there's some knock-out views  for 500k  and a decent  2bed 2bath.  

After speaking with a few friends and realtors, I've been advised that the West End, East Atlanta Village, and East Lake areas hold great potential, particularly for higher rents and positive cash flow (>$2,800+).
