The torn up cushion you mentioned - if it is leather or vinyl or something like that probably need to get a furniture/vinyl repair person in which involves scheduling, same thing with motor going bad in a hot tub, or other similar things.  

Sometimes they just get noisy and other times the motor stops working.

If you can't get this done, you may need a model with a draft motor.

I call my repairman, he makes some other repairs this time, replacing the arm that connects the door to the chain that is pulled by the motor and braces the top panel with a strut that spans the panel, and this time the repair is only $199.

I think your read is correct in that the allowance for inoperable vehicles in the garage is presuming motorized vehicle and doesn't specifically include a boat.

The motor is out in our rental washing machine, to save us the back and forth we are leaning towards replacing the entire unit but in the mean time do leave it up to our tenant to figure out how to wash her clothes, do we reimburse her for money spent at laundry mat?
