I am an investing noob, but I would be very leery of that. refinancing to free up the VA loan is a good idea so long as you plan to live in that new residence (VA loans cannot be used on rental properties). however, you also should take into account the fact that cash out refinancing will give you extra money in your pocket, but it will increase your income-to-debt ratio which could seriously harm your ability to get a loan on the new property in the first place. other things I would take into account would be:1. what are the closing costs going to be on the new loan?

Personally, I think it’s quite unlikely that the Biden administration would allow a 2008-like default crisis to occur; the political wounds from a tidal wave of defaults would be nearly impossible to recover from in time for the 2024 election.

There is a clause in the purchase agreement pertaining to casualty loss proceeds will be assigned to the buyer but the damage occurred in July & the purchase agreement was signed in November.

He claims they all worked at the inspection, but since the system sat idle 3 months from inspection until I closed on the property, settlement occurred and clogged the system to the point where I now need these extensive repairs.Is this typical for a gravity fed boiler system to have serious issues like this after only sitting for 3 months?
