You can use money as an excuse or a motivator, Yes it requires capital to start any business so if you have to work another gig to pay to fund your dream thats what you have to do.  

I think fiscally speaking I can manage with a small MFR by myself but with being active duty and moving around pretty often it makes it tough to really get things rolling (partially an excuse since there are people that do it but still truth as well). 

However, I feel like if I never take this step, I will find an excuse every time to not make the deal.

From my many years in this crazy business- having borrowed many dollars from many lenders - experiencing turn downs, delays and excuses from the so called friendly lenders- I've learned that the only friend lenders have is themselves, their security, their own interest, bottom line profits. 

She's blown me off for the last two weeks but giving me a bunch of excuses why she hasn't paid (I.e it was MLK day yesterday so the banks were closed and she couldn't pull out cash, even though she's always wrote me a check in the past).

It's like providing an excuse for not wanting to earn more money and it essentially provides for a negative connotation for anyone seeking to grow their income significantly.
