Hi @Joseph Careri, Canada does not have anything resembling the 1031 Exchange. 

The term 'wholetailing' as I've seen it applied may resemble the project I am working on now.

I think people are confused about the process of amortization, which is nothing more than adding up the interest and principal that's going to be paid over the anticipated time period of the loan, dividing it out into equal payments, and then (usually) stacking the interest and principal portions in such a way that it will - vaguely - resemble the payoff amount if one wants to pay off the loan early.
