I think you're right that the "seasoning" is the secret ingredient in this dish. 

His contract with them states that if they do not vacuum and clean their private room, then he will hire a housekeeper to clean it and she will be given a key to their room and their rent will be increased, and he lists that their private room would be vacuumed/swept, trash removed, no community dishes kept there, etc.  

We don't have any kind of dish or cable service at our vacation home but to provide TCL Roku powered TV's for everyone to stream their favorite shows from their streaming services.

@Joseph Barnes ,Something you'll need understand about being a landlord versus being a short term rental host is that as a STR host you're crossing over into another industry: hospitality, on top of being a property owner.A short term rental is expected to be fully furnished as well as fully stocked with a coffee brewer, pots, pans, utensils, dishes, cups / glasses, flatware, towels, soap / shampoo, other bath items, bed linens, ... even some basic food items like breakfast cereals, canned items, etc.

I am thinking Korea Town, for it's access to transit and it's obviously large Korean community.

Very easy to come by and expect to dish out a minimum of 8%.

Even if you fall completely on your face, you could still find a job washing dishes at the local diner and rent a couch at someone's apartment.
