I can tell you from the trenches that things are moving VERY fast in the Minneapolis market right now, it's very dynamic and anyone who says they have it pegged is flat out lying or delusional. 

Does anybody have a recommendation for a porch screening company?

@Ashley Martin we use total monthly household income of 3X rent as the minimum screening standard.

Screen well with housemate comparability in mind!

Then when I get out, I rent out my home, which to the military is a flat 2205 per month, and aim for a multifamily out in San Antonio Texas, or Pasadena TX.

I still am pushing for it because at the end of the day, getting that tenant out will bring more income with the next tenant and I will be able to do a proper screening.

The only thing that is tricky is that a lot of roofers don't really specialize in flat roofs so you just have to get the right roofer who charges you fair prices. 

Just a thought - have you looked into security window screens?
