I own 40 portable storage units and I'm hoping to close on my first self storage facility soon, which would boost me to over 130 units.

Amazon is currently building a 45,000 SQFT “last mile” distribution center.Smaller projects happening in the area:A new public park and boat launch is being constructed in MalagaThe YMCA is moving to the old PUD building and putting in a $25,000,000 state-of-the-art facility.$2,000,000 is going to improvements to the riverfront park adding playgrounds and splash pads.Since 2022 a feasibility study has been going on for a regional sports complex boasting 16 soccer/football fields, 8 baseball diamonds, 50 meter indoor pool, gym, track, and waterpark.There are several more project revamping old warehouse building turning them into trendy new dining and retail spaces.

Great investment market (REI) because of low cost of entry and rent/ownership ratio is strong.We have the largest medical center in the entire world with the leading cancer center that is a destination facility people come from all over to visit.Oh and I almost forgot, buy a place on the new Grand Parkway (Texas Route 99) because it is a game changing new toll road that is linking all the burbs like never before. 

I never really heard what happened there, and I evicted after the tenant failed to come back, I think she was placed in a mental care facility.

I'm in the Tampa area and looking to buy a self storage facility or 5 :)  Although I'm not a seasoned self storage investor, if there is anything I can do to help, please let me know!

Would have had about 70% of the market covered with room to grow at our existing facilities. 

My partner said well, you won't have bathroom facilities in about 10 minutes because we're pulling the toilet and the tub right now.

Another option for low cost apartment type housing is to make very small units without cooking or bathroom facilities (though a chemical toilet for the privacy conscious might work and wouldn't take up nearly as much room as a conventional one does and cost much less without the plumbing and upkeep).
