@Calvin Rankin Highly recommend you and your wife speak with both an attorney and a tax CPA/EA before you do (or promise to do) anything.Why willingly make someone else's problems your problems? 

If you start slowly, it gives you time to learn and network, and in the meantime, you increase rents and your mortgage stays the same, which opens that gap in your DTI. 

I've tried a couple of different platforms, including signs/banners, Zillow leads, mail campaigns, and networking. 

Does anyone know of any upcoming networking events, meetings, or RE seminars in NYC?
