Incase if you had been investor in the great recession, how did you deal with it?

I like this move because as we all know, mobile home parks are a good bet to hedge against recessions. $150,000 - I would allocate these funds to higher risk startup company investments, mostly emerging technology companies, that I have heavily researched and feel confident in.

That is the labor pool is in short supply here, particularly skilled trades which are down almost 20% from pre recession levels.  

Also, in the case where most of the sales in a town are all foreclosures, yet tax assessments are still at levels reflecting pre-recession values, is there any hope for winning appeals?

NJ is in some sort of recession in the housing market for 10+ years.

@Sun KimI am also from NYC and I faced a similar predicament when I started my real estate investing career.I decided to invest out of state where my money can go longer.Queens has gone through a huge run-up since the last recession.

What I don't know is that if every inversion has led to a recession, or that every recession was preceded by an inversion.

At the real estate crash and recession implosion, I chased REIT’s and MLP type stocks into the ground.

Over the course of 8 years or so getting out of the recession, one of my accounts almost doubled while the other had hardly any gains beyond what I was contributing. 

A recession will happen at some point.
