Hi @Trina Walker,I share your story, as I am also "50'ish" and I am getting into RE investing to supplement my retirement income, and to ensure that I have a more than sufficient padding, which will allow for travel, and the ability to build a financial legacy for my family as well.  

In my experience, and I'd admit I'm not the best investor out there, far from it, real estate is a nice supplemental income, but I don't see that as enough to quit a job.

If an agent's idea of sourcing properties is to just put you on a generic MLS alert and otherwise never speak to you again, then what value are they adding to you?
