I get it I love my family too but you can still love them when you become rich.  

I know I am not going to get rich of of this deal, I just hope to not lose any.

Everyone thinks it is a get rich quick business and that it is easy.

Homeownership in high taxed states is a complete scam for the government and banks to get rich.

That $40k can be used to build themselves wealth instead of building wealth for the gurus who will always come up with some type of "knowledge" that will make people rich.

People read a newspaper article and suddenly they are short term rental crazy want to scale up as soon as possible know 10% of what matters read some forums and are suddenly convinced they are in the right field to get rich. at some point in the not-too-distant future, a reckoning is coming in the short term rental space that will be breathtaking.

But to raise significant money you either need a verifiable track record and great Rolodex, or a rich dad to introduce you around the yacht club.

You would either have to have a very rich uncle, or have some great networking skills.It's not super easier to go from zero to 10.
