I was completely shocked given that I had paid to have some one to look for a tank. 

The owner seemed shocked that she owed that much in taxes. 

I figured I would appear as a low risk to a lender, but I've been shocked by crazy stuff before, so part of me was concerned.After doing some more research, it looks like I need to look into a "secured loan". 

More points of entry and access ought to result in a more resilient economy, but it can also play the other way - by having so many small operators, each could be loathe to part with his/her money, meaning that the system can freeze up pretty easily because of the lack of well-fortified employers that can absorb economic shock.

As such, I carry all my flood insurance through a local agent.Most of you will probably find this shocking but, when FEMA changed their flood maps last year, many parts of NOLA are no longer in a flood zone. 

As I was updated my friend on things, I shared that I got pre-qualified with another mortgage banker/broker and my friend was shocked and not happy because he thought I was committing to work with him.
