For the issuer of a security to a group of accredited investors, what exactly qualifies as 'reasonable steps' in verifying an investor's 'accreditation' status?

Endorsement and/or satisfaction of this instrument acknowledges payment in full for contract dated xx/xx/xx by and between the issuer and the payee.  

But if your issue really is what you say it is, doesn't a financing contingency take care of it?

I have a feeling they might be violating the issuer TC's, or at least pushing it too far to the limit. 

I have not had an issue renting any of them.

And occasionally you will see...maybe you can research...that a mortgage insurance issuer is raising rates on an area due to risk of overprice vs sustainable value, or whatever they call it.
