@Tyler D.If you are intending on using it as an Air B and B research the rules in specific counties and cities as some are actively making it difficult to use short term rentals.We’re looking at Rockaway Beach as a B and B friendly area to expand in with an Amazing 4th of July Fireworks party!

Being self employed and dealing with the banks is the complete opposite of a slam dunk ( air ball) but I’m hoping once the bank sees that the property is cash flowing positive that they’ll be easier to deal with getting a second mortgage on an rental but not sure?

Lenders dont seem to count Airbnb revenue as income.  Is there a lender that will count it?

I was hoping to air bnb out the duplex until I can move in.

E.g. opens the window, closes the bedroom door so air isn't circulating, etc? 

It would be very unusual for a condensation line blockage to cause problems this time of year here in Birmingham because it's been cold here lately...so nobody has their air on...and the unit doesn't produce condensation in heat mode.For a future preventative measure though, I would recommend you have an HVAC company install a pan underneath the unit in the attic (if there's not one there already) and attached to that pan, ask them to install a "float kill switch".

@Erik Kuhi, I just use the AIR BnB and VRBO apps on my phone.
