I think this may be an opportunity to renegotiate with the seller at an extreme reduction in price if we offer to buy outright using cash.

So, I flagged the listing to notify me of any changes, in case there was a price reduction or if it was no longer available.After a couple of months, I received an alert that it went under contract, so I just went about my business and put it behind me.

But over time, the ratcheting increase in rents and principal reduction will pay off.Well done and congratulations.
