On the other side of the coin, you have pharmaceuticals companies, who often have negative level of net debt (debt - cash) because if their next break through drug may not get approved and their sales will drop. 

If you're looking for a little risk, I play around with some pharma's who are close to FDA approval for a drug or who have a hot drug in their pipeline.

That in and of itself gives you some indication but, if you ask these people if they feel safe living in Mexico, their typical answer will be something like this:"In Mexico, we don't get involved with drugs and I don't go to areas I shouldn't be going to, rules that would apply to the US/Canada as well if you want to stay safe.

Most fights last under 20 seconds and contrary to the movies one to two properly placed strikes can take someone out unless they are hyped up on drugs or other stimulants.

We have a house in a d-/drug area, and rent to someone on  disability/SSI-- for the right price, you can find the right person!     

One spot would be a legit drug house we walked in to [and immediately out of] and then just down the road you have nice, safe homes that can demand 2x-3x as much.
