The high salaries in Switzerland, paired with your marketable skills should allow you to have quite a bit of purchasing power in most US markets. 

You certainly will find no shortage of agents, wholesalers, insurance reps and property managers here!

I would definitely agree with you that self-managing is a great option for some owners, but does require an investor to understand their own skill set and align it with their desires for their asset performance appropriately (If max ROI is desired, do they have the skillset necessary to produce top revenue numbers, etc.?).

Their commission will be 1600 or so and you need them to have special skills.

If you choose a skilled manager they will have their money where their mouth is and own rentals where they advise investing. 

The upside is never any shortage of customers since the vast majority of addicts never stay clean.

Your skill set is in real estate.  

If you are sure you can do better, then you can step-up and provide your own service team and skills.
