You will know if you're doing right or wrong, asking the question is evidence of that, however many don't know, some don't have enough business ethics to care and some are intentional violators.

I hope to learn more from other members, develop a local RE network, help where I can, and ultimately make my first (intentional) real estate investment.

Lacks the intent to purchase, consider it this way, (just making a point) say I give you nominal consideration and enter into a contract to date your daughter, and your daughter gives her consent agreeing to date me, and you consent as well.
