If you go the window unit route, make sure they are 120V units, as 240V unit needs a special receptacle and dedicated higher voltage circuit from the breaker box.

Unfortunately in that price range from the "box" stores the quality is going to be crap although it should last quite a few years.

Basically I don't fit neatly into a traditional income and employment box.

I agree with everything @Justin Kay said...but you can also get creative and think outside the box.  

I don't have apartments (yet), but we do lock box showings all the time with our SFH's and plexes. 

@Ken Latchers I guess I was thinking more out of the box marketing.

Best reclaim is new show room box's you can order 1 or2 more in right size to finish length correctly.
