Another thing I've found, new construction is so rare (unless it's the big home builders doing tracts) that the subs are dumbfounded and keep saying they'll come to the job to look at it, I explain they can't do that because it's just being framed, and for instance I want the drywaller lined up BEFORE framing is complete because they come in shortly after that... it's so different here than where we moved from and people were hungry for work.
