@Frank D.Hey Frank, I’m from Australia and couldn’t agree more with how green the grass looks in the USA.

Flips do not interest me as i have no clue what i would be doing, and i am also based in Australia for the next 14 months (university) but want to buy somewhere in the Houston area. 

@David Des, where I come from (Australia), it would seem really weird for you to get any tax deductions on your own home mortgage interest, or other of its expenses! 

In Australia we call gingers 'blueys'.Dated one once & a terrorist would have been much easier to deal with.

Ive met with three brokers here so far who dont have access to products for foreign nationals.Background is that I’m from Australia, and have two partners and are looking to establish a portfolio of properties.

Presently, I am living abroad in Victoria, Australia.

I’m french and I leave in Australia so I can invest in Europe and Oceania easily.

I am currently spending half year in Australia and the other in China.

My understanding is that this has not been allowed in the US until recently do to tax reasons, but is more common in Canada and Australia. 

My journey started slowly by just reading and listening to podcast but has gotten more serious in the last year when I obtained my Real Estate License in Victoria, Australia while I was living abroad.
