I am exploring "office hacking" but i don't know if there are any legal or zoning issues with something like that. 

I found one who's strategies made sense, 10 years later my wife and I have been financial free for about 5 years now by leveraging the concept of house hacking.

You can refi into a DSCR at the 1-year mark, buy another - rinse and repeat.That's a good idea for the House Hack, but I can tell you FHA offers are very difficult to get accepted right now, at least in Toledo.

I have a client house hacking in Hoboken who bought for a bit over $1.3m - they live in the top duplex 2/1.1 and rent the bottom duplex 2/1.1 as an MTR now and probably will make 4k/month.

Some Bay Area investors I know are: house hacking, rent by the room, mid-term rentals, STR (depending on your location AirBnbs may not work).

I just wanted to hear people's thoughts on whether to look for a house hack opportunity or to keep renting and look for a rental property deal.
