So, some food for thought.Trusts seem to be the preferred method of liability and asset protection among the wealthy.  

There are buyers that prefer any combination.

Personally I’d stick with SFR or at 4 units or less for preferred financing and to reduce risk of the exchange failing.

My preference is to own a property, and to rent it out eventually, house hack, etc.
