This was my first deal, and house hacking made the most sense because it lowered the threshold for risk in my mind.

It is a very low bar for you to meet, but keep in mind that is also the level of upkeep some S8 tenants might have in mind.

Keep in mind that they can increase that period if they get complains from the community, so make sure you're in good relationship with your neighbors.

If so, would you mind sharing property details (Bed/Baths/# of guests etc.)I am eyeing into Cashiers as well. 

I want them to notify me if they will be absent for an extended period of time so that the property is not seen as abandoned by anyone looking to do a crime, and so that I could check on it.
