My parents retired there (got tired of the cold) so I want to have some skin in the game in the Bend / Redmond area so I am more likely to visit them.I'd just like to make some more contacts down that way.Cheers!

@Frank BoetI only invest about 10% of my retirement funds in metals since it is not an income producing asset like rental real estate but I still want to diversify my portfolio.

My dream is to build a lot of wealth through passive income by investing in real estate so that I can retire early and live the life i want to live without worrying about money.

Buy and hold for retirement is my strategy.

I have owned the lot for many years and see it as a perfect retirement spot. 

Seems like a good decision for retirement investing.

Most Americans can not save money and invest it outside of a retirement account.
