With the incredible facelift that the convention center received, I fully expect a boost in employment within the service industries and that will be city wide.  

Keywords with phrases that center around distressed nonperforming loan funds might prompt some when you dig through.

But this is normally only the case in locations where land is inexpensive (outside the city center).  

It's a great area with historical significance (Kennedy Space Center for example).

I'm still at an incredibly part time stage in my investing career (Although I've been doing it now for 5+ years)  I run 3 successful non real estate businesses plus I just became a licensed realtor.Should that status change to a more *full time* approach ~ I'd seriously consider one of those dumping trailer.  

If there is a mortgage you would need to have the insurance finalized before the closing.If I was at the stage you are at, I would just go to as many open houses as I could.
