Owners mistakenly ASSUME all PMCs offer the exact SAME SERVICES and PERFORM those services EXACTLY THE SAME WAY, so price is the only differentiator.So, the first question they usually ask a PMC is about fees - instead of asking about services and HOW those services are executed.EXAMPLE: PMC states they will handle tenant screening – what does that specifically mean?

This would never happen to me, a big part of my screening is all money needs to be ready at lease signing and if it will take them a while to have the money ready it is going to take me a while to be available to show to them until they have it. 

We learned some valuable lessons in tenant screening and protecting ourselves as landlords, already, so I think we'll see some major improvements to our management and stress levels in 2023.

The best thing is to screen very very very carefully.

What is the incentive of letting some other tenant parade a bunch of non-screened "tenants" in/out of their place so the actual "tenant" can make money from their asset?
