Hi Ethan,Old fashioned pull down roller shades (the blackout variety) don't cost much and go up in an instant.If the oven is mission critical to your lifestyle, you could always ask to break the lease and move.If it were me, I'd ask for a rent concession for the missing oven, but you rented the unit with no shades, so that seems to be on you.Get written approval before installing ANYTHING on the house.

I don't generally recommend riding your bike from either of those areas to the beach.

Thus, adding value to all units and modernizing the complex to compete and ride the appreciation wave of the area to the fullest extent.

Downtown itself has a decent number of breweries/food options, grocery stores, and things to do, while still being a short metro/Uber ride to downtown DC.
