Yea its definitely been a mental jump to make the decision...but it has been decided 😉Thanks everyone for the thoughts and advice.

You just have to have the right mentality and the develop the skills over time. 

There is VERY limited housing around here, so people who have housing vouchers can hardly find a place to move into and those with mental health are essentially screwed.

It's good you're approaching real estate with a long-term mentality and taking your time to orient yourself rather than dive in seeking quick riches.

I don’t have an investor lined up and I think that’s where I start with the mental blocks.

I also seem to have a mental block around being far away from a rental property if anything goes sideways or otherwise requires some hands-on intervention.

Agents with the right experience and  mentality to work with investors are hard to come by.

I believe you won’t be successful if you aren’t prepared mentally and spiritually.

The other part of this puzzle is his mental health.

I feel like after reading a couple of books the overarching mentality, techniques and methods on real estate investing would become repetitive but i also want to do my due diligence and get smart before rushing and failing at my first real estate investment.
