This neighborhood is very close to major thoroughfares and the best hospital in town with a med school.

If they have to actually check the availability to see, rather than know offhand, that's a good sign.Get a realistic low/med/high on rents and vacancies - and remember there's a tradeoff between the two.

First son says "I'm taking my cash and going to med school". 

This might have been the couple that she delayed allowing to see the inside but I am thinking there were 3 potential buyers. ( little groggy from pain meds due to accident last night and having to type with one hand) We also found funding for them here on BP, which she was aware of.  

They were med students who met their future spouse, who was well aware of their career pursuit.I would imagine there is a minute percentage of doctors who got married, started a family, then came home from their 9 to 5 and said "honey, I am quitting my job and going to med school." 

Doing business in Motown is different, I doubt I'll be back unless I get on my meds, but I love the history and the people.

As a pre-med student Ebola should not be an issue in the United States.

The colleges add to that in different areas, but demand and price tend to rise and fall somewhat independent of the universities.The exception are the universities near the med center, including Rice and all of the graduate schools.
