As an attorney you likely have relationships you can lean on if you want to pursue this avenue. 

Working with an experienced project manager that had an established relationship with a contractor worked at then end for me. 

Initially, focus on building relationships with sellers rather than pushing for immediate deals.

One thing that won't change though is person-to-person relationships.

They are billed as "a scientific approach to single-family rentals" and use "institutional grade property management," which usually means they are a tech company in real estate and likely either don't have the existing property management relationships in each area or you chose an area where they don't have enough units through Roofstock for the PM they chose to care.

We care deeply about creating strong relationships with our residents and our property owners. 

Renting, like hiring an employee, taking on a business partner or client and marring (even more so), are relationships that can be costly if made hastily or imprudently.Like others, I have check lists that I do not deviate from. 

Basically, someone who already has the relationships with accredited investors and can assist in the raising of funds?
