What’s your first move?

I had a long conversation with Equity Trust today, and I'm almost ready to move forward with them, but upon further investigation they seem to have some pretty negative reviews.

My partner and I have been living in Dutchess for a few years, and are moving a bit north for his work, and are excited at the real estate opportunities this also unlocks.

I grew up near San Francisco and moved to Reno, NV to live and house hack. 

I have been analyzing investing with them for 3 years but never felt it was the right move in my gut. 

Our long term goal is to purchase and move to a remote ranch and for me to be able to quit my job around 40 years old.

With that said, it all comes down to your goals, your risk appetite and sufficient reserves.

I've been manually entering everything, but it is getting to the point where I'm considering moving my books elsewhere.
