No this was just going to be used to help with the down payment since I just bought a different property in June.

I just bought a 2300sq house at auction for 71k.

The reason for this is the university will likely want to expand & your street could have a high potential of being bought out by the university.

If I had just bought this property and could force some appreciation, I could refinance and hopefully extract that equity within a year, for example--but since this house is paid off, refinancing would introduce a new mortgage payment.What are the options here?
