I have a property that's exactly like that, and when we couldn't get the neighbors to agree on maintenance on the "shared driveway" I sealed my side off with a fence and added about 6 feet of width on my side of the property.

Medium term furnished rentals (1-6 months) are perfectly legal, can command a rent premium similar to STRs, and are less management intensive than STRs so you might look into that strategy as well.
