Sure they might know a bunch of lawyers and whatnot but I would think that would be a bigger problem for people holding a note on a high end property versus a rental with a high end borrower who I would expect would be more inclined to pay for potential issues they encounter with their property (especially if it's SFR) over reaching out to the landlord than a lower income renter.

The problems you will encounter trying to get financing without a W2 are considerable.
