Manufactured housing (aka mobile homes aka trailers) is a form of affordable housing and affordable housing isn't determined by "interest".Owning a mobile home is the cheapest form of safe, private housing available in the United States.

We're unsure how zoning would work here, but there are two other RV yards down the road.Leasing the back as farmlandLeasing the back as horse propertyPossibly subdividing and adding 2-3 manufactured homes as rentalsI'm hoping that someone with experience with this type of property could give us some advice.Thanks!

Hi I am curious if anyone has any experience and knowledge with mobile/manufactured home parks.

I am investing in a military and college town with many manufacturing plants as well as plethora new business developments.

@James Wise My market I was looking at is a dying rual manufacturing town that is losing the the jobs.

Rentals generate the other kind of income, passive, which cannot be used to fund retirement plans.So first, you will have to restructure your setup to "manufacture" active income.

After getting my degree, I worked for a manufacturing company that moved me out to Harrisburg, PA for a year and then to Cedar Rapids/Iowa City, IA for 4 years after that. 

Kenosha/Pleasant Prairie has seen massive industry and manufacturing expansion in the past 4 years thanks to large scale trendsetters like Uline and Amazon.
