@Will Cook I have seen a lot of people (especially those in the mortgage industry) that hold the thinking that we are over priced and from what I can tell, it's all based on affordability.

Getting a contractor to look it is an option but many are cookie cutter solutions and you may be disappointed or in shock from the quote. 

He sent me some stuff, I looked at it and told him what I thought, but I have no idea if he actually implemented my suggestions, may not have since he didn't get to pay anything for my advice and I've found many investors don't take free advice.As I recall, the only real issue I had was his advice on how to approach Cookie Monster in sub-letting a trash can, but don't take this as an endorsement.

No, you want the basic, universal, cookie cutter floor plans, so there’s no emotional benefit for it.
