I have been trying buy at the Texas (Harris County, fort bend county) county auction and on some auction sites, in hopes I find a deal in the Houston area that I can flip or fix & hold.

Some areas you may want to consider in Houston are Sunnyside for example

But we let co-investors invest partially in the notes that we originate in our market (Houston, Dallas, San Antonio).

Even though i can work all over Texas, I don't know much about real estate in Austin, Houston, El Paso, Amarillo or most parts of the state. 

@Dalton Dillon I am assuming you are buying outside of Houston City limits.

MTRs may be more favorable near Ft Sam Houston with the military hospital (basically central SA). 

I  purchased a home with a HOA lien at the Harris County (Houston, TX) auction.
