I have never been to a hotel (that I recall) that didn't use white linens, so I take that as proof.

In Franklinton there are plenty of large projects going on that will bring massive growth to the west side of Columbus, such as the Peninsula Development, which is a multiphase project that will erect a 24 story apartment complex featuring a grocery store, a multi use office space building, and a new hotel featuring a two-story Pins Mechanical venue.

Does anyone know of any profitable hotel condos or ones that are making their way in that direction?

My question is whether it makes sense to keep the capital in the deal banking on it performing better long term and the retention of 5 percent of the deal after the waterfall as a long term asset, or if it makes sense to take the capital back and put it into my own deals (my partners and I are currently working on buying a hotel and I could use the capital to get myself equity and to help us close the deal).

We stayed in Ben Mallah's hotel lol. 

Outside his market, he ran into a hotel syndication that did a capital call for 1.x mm; and is going to have to go back for a $4.x mm capital call. 

I won't be investing in the riskiest/most supportable asset subclasses such as hotels, and tilt my portfolio the ones that have historically been more stable such as multifamily and single-family housing.

In Scottsdale we have Homes not Hotel signs in many of the yards, this is a group trying to ban Airbnb.
