Here is what I would recommend: Ask them to enroll in a reputable dog obedience class.

I enrolled in the health sharing ministry (CHM) for 2 months last year and 1 month w/ Marketplace while working on activating my RE agent.

I wasn't sure how to go about finding a mentor with no real RE education, as I would like to know what I am talking about so I don't seem uninformed or uneducated, so recently I enrolled in a real estate associate course.

I am currently enrolled at a local real estate school with the hopes of getting my license by the summer.My goal is to eventually (5-7 years) own a portfolio of multi-family homes in the Boston area.

You make more so you enroll your kids in a private school, buy an expensive car with payments, a more expensive house with a higher mortgage.  

LA does have open enrollment so there are some options not usually advertised.

I have enrolled in a upcoming Real Estate class, since I have noticed several agents do buy and sell property,   next question   Can an agent buy, sell or wholesale without a broker? 

Consider enrolling in your local real estate school even if you don't become an agent.  

I initially was going to enroll with one of the better known mentoring companies but decided just to take my $15,000 and buy a note and let experience be my teacher.
