Having a presence in other countries while retaining equity is much easier than actually buying said properties in each country.

You can put little money into the deal, retain most of your capital and learn how to be a landlord on site. 

The goal is for each of us to retain ownership of the completed buildings, though we're undecided on the ownership split.Appreciate any advice or recommendations you can offer.

@Josh Haney I believe the legal/compliance piece is fairly well covered by those who already commented I completely agree that it's important to retain legal counsel to assist with drafting and also loop in an accountant to confirm structure is arranged with tax efficiency in mind. 

I am well traveled and very culturally experienced and am a dedicated sales and marketing professional who exceeds goals, retains customers and maintains a strong reputation for customer satisfaction.With all that said, I am looking to understand the US market for both professional and personal reasons. 

If you're wanting to do SMM and SEO, on the other hand, you're looking closer to the $35/hr - $100/hr range... or more likely, a hefty monthly retainer.

@Jeffrey Evilsizor I am no expert in construction law in AZ, so don't know if there is some liability you will retain after the sale of the property, so you will want to check out this angle with a lawyer.From the insurance perspective, you are not incurring traditional GC risk if you are doing the work for yourself, on your own properties.
