For reference, I live just north of that section of Manhattan so I speak from some experience.IF you are able to find any multi-families for sale in that area, they will be for multi-millions most likely (only case I can imagine is if the owner is doing a fire sale and just trying to offload their asset asap).

I also recently moved here from midtown Manhattan, don't regret investing or living in Yonkers.In general taxes are lower than other Westechester towns and homes are still reasonably priced.

If you're willing to look a little bit further out, like closer to Newark, there are probably more attractive deals for doing that, and you could still hypothetically be on an NJ transit line to Manhattan and/or the JC area, or you could pretty easily drive.What sort of work are you looking to do?
