The average STR host has only 2 prices the whole year when you should have 365 different prices to maximize booking.

So visiting the property could have some value, depending on your goals of the visit.I have hosted investor tours at properties in the past, where we dedicate time with our investors and the community manager to walk the property so they can see their investment, as well as talk about current operations, how the business plan in going, and allow them to meet people on the team that they invested with.

My biggest suggestion would be to find some local meetups (https://www.biggerpockets.com/forums/521-real-estate-events-...) and introduce yourself to the host. 

There is a local meetup in Danbury hosted through Meetup that is a great group of people hosted by Joyce and Bob. 

I love hearing insight from hosts who have solved this common pain point.

As an Airbnb guest and host, I think that is too many automatic messages.

It's really disappointing to host dishonest people but it's an unfortunate reality you have to accept.

You'd think STR would cause more wear and tear, but the host has to keep it up in great condition to get 5 star reviews.
