If you are in a position to get credit, leverage created through mortgage debt is an excellent driver for building up wealth.

Always get a copy of their trade license, licence plate, and driver's license.

As @Addam Driver has pointed out, your best bet is to get a nice umbrella insurance.

So in Antigonish, which does have a university and a hospital but isn't growing, the cap rates are maybe 8-10% while in Halifax, particularly the HRM, which has numerous economic drivers and IS growing, the cap rates are around 4%...i agree with you Jeremy about the low vacancy and tax rates in Antigonish. 

What I'm saying is that it shouldn't always be the only driver for decisions. 

Dont you have an address on the driver license, or any mail on your name that is sent to your parent's house? 

That puts you in the driver seat for sure.
