Tim, I think the reason we are having a disconnect is because you are very spoiled by the investments that your market area provides.

It has seemed to disconnect from inflationary, deflationary and stock market activity over the last few decades... it hasn't been following the predictable rules that people expected it would.The anti-gold viewpoint seems to be that: you can't eat it, you can't live in it, you can't wear it.
