I stuck it out for 9 months before I took another job across the country.

Imagine giving me $20k and I give you $1,000/year back and in 10 years it “paid for itself”   You don’t use it for an investment  you use it to punish oil producing countries that hate us or to show your neighbors you’re better than them  :-)  Usually it’s a horrible plan for rentals because you either have to charge higher rent and include the electricity or charge a flat rate discouraging them from saving power.

I, like you, have a handful of my own STR properties that I self manage, and manage just shy of 20 STR properties located in Bryan / College Station, Tx for out of state/country investors. 

CT actually has some of the strongest protections for LLC's in the country...but it took some research (and money) to talk through that. 

Day's on market are trending upward in most areas of the country.

If you notice a lot of the responses in this forum is from all over the country.

Most brokerages across the country do not allow wholesaling or make you do it in a way that won't make it work the traditional way.The real question is why are you getting your license if you want to wholesale?

Our lake is not really a destination place...we do get some people coming from all over the country but they are coming for family reunions, and most people are 2-3 hours away from metro areas (Chicago/Indy/Detroit).  

Were you interested in other parts of the Midwest and Southeast of the country?
