If they can show hardship they can short sell the house without missing payments.I have seen this when there is an announced reduction in pay or layoff a few months before it happens.

Most didn't slow down and layoff some people until things pick up, their jobs went over seas or Mexico.

We still want to make money with our free time just not feel insecure with our jobs (such as layoffs or work for bad business leaders).I read another post that mentioned health care cost.

If you have lots of it you worry about the government taxing you and taking it all for redistribution " robin hood theory ".If you have the money and the tax situation taken care of you worry about friends, family, your own mortality etc.

Jesse - dont you want to avoid 2nd mortgages - if the person - no fault of their own - medical emergency, layoff from 12 years of steady employment etc happen - defaults you probably get nothing.?
