Use a stiff nylon bristle brush and scrub the crud out of the grout, let it set until the bleach and oxyclean lighten it up enough for you, and then rinse it really well.Good luck!

The thing we do that keeps our houses leased is the houses are nicely painted with nice ceramic tile, we update all light fixtures/door knobs to brush nickel and make sure everything is in working order and that has been working well for years...good luck!
