I'm an electrician and I wouldn't switch.

The $8k is to have licensed electrician relative split the electric, convert to electric hot water tanks, and open the property up to 4 units instead of 2.

Should I look for a general contractor to manage the whole process or manage it myself finding my own plumber, electrician, roofer, etc?

The reason why is that if and when you grow, you'll already have formed the network of handymen, plumbers, electricians, etc that you will absolutely need at a certain point.I'm by nature a DIYer, but that simply won't work on this scale with these properties while I have a full time job.

I have dealt with engineers, surveyors, licensed GCs, plumbers, & electricians, and am currently retaining a former City Sr.

I'm also reside in Crest Hill and an electrician at a local plant.

I have been a residential electrician in the past and have also done some framing carpentry work on new homes, so I am familiar with how they are put together. 

I eventually found a good roofer, siding guy, asphalt/cement/paver guy, all around handyman, electrician, and my granite place.

I'm looking for advice on electricians, plumbers, HVAC and drywall finishers that work in Fishkill and Wappingers.
